Sync not working between 8330 and 9630

last night my wife and i put v.1.0.12 on our respective BBs. she has an alltel curve 8330 and i have a verizon tour 9630. syncing would not work either way, although we were both receiving the honeydew messages in our PIN messages folders. when trying to do a manual sync on the 8330, hers was throwing some sort of java error (i don't know specifically which, b/c we've since uninstalled the apps in hopes a reinstall might fix issues).

based on other posts, i ensured that permissions on both phones were set to allow all. i also made sure to download the 4.7 build for my tour and the 4.2+ build for her curve.

Does she have any email addresses set up on her phone? Another user worked with me to discover that for HoneyDew to be able to see the PIN messages there must be an email address set up on each phone (even though it's not actually looking for email, there's no way to access any folders without an email address present to start from). It's a pretty stupid requirement of the OS, but I haven't figured out a way around it.

Let me know if that isn't the case.

You can set up any email, HoneyDew won't actually use it for anything more than grabbing a handle to the folder system.

I've got the exact same issue with my Tour and my wifes 8330. We're both running original OS software (4.7.1.40 for my Tour and 4.5.0.138 for her Curve). We both get the PIN messages, but we never get the little red * on top of the HoneyDew icon. When we enter HoneyDew we don't get the "Sync Message" asking to accept. All permissions are set to allow on both phones. I'm lost! Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I got it working. I did a battery pull on both devices and now it works on both.
