Cancelled: Price Hike Coming!!!!!!!111one one one

UDPATE: I've decided this probably isn't the best approach (thanks to all the extremely insightful comments). I'll post a bit more details later.

Just a heads up, I'll be bumping the price for PodTrapper on Wednesday, Feb 4 to the new low low (but slightly higher) price of 12.99. Get your orders in now to avoid the new price!!!!

Oh, and you can blame the plethora of reviewers who commented that I'm charging way too little. I started to think it was a bug that needed to be fixed, so I'm fixing it :)

That and it's way more feature complete than the original versions, and it'll really help offset the insane cut the major retailers take.

Hi sid,

It's still available at the original price until Wednesday if that's what your concern is.

Hi Mike, I actually decided not to increase the price. I'm probably going to look at alternate methods later (major upgrades, new devices, etc), but need to work out details so it's fair for everyone.

If any software developer deserved a price hike...YOU do. You have been responsive like no other. If someone has a problem with the $3.00 increase they just don't understand what it takes to develop and improve a program like yours. These are the people that get upset that ANY software has a price.

Do you accept tips? Let me know how to get them to you.

Thanks for your work.

:) Hi Norm,

It wasn't really anyone complaining about the hike that changed my mind, I just like the $10 price point, it's easy, and when I think of comparative value, it makes sense to me.

I think what I'm going to end up doing is offering two price points, a $10 non-transferable license (single device), and a $20 transferable one (though everyone that's already purchased will be grandfathered in to the transferable one).

Though when I find the time to actually implement this is another matter entirely :)

Thanks for the support, though, I have the best customers in the world!

I second this.

The support you offer and the pace at which you release upgrades is quite simply phenomenal.

Thanks again
