Desktop Downloading Available!

Well, now that we've got two people with the same problem on the same feed it's definitely worth checking out in detail (I hate diving in to the C++ code in the desktop app, heh).

When I wrote my post I forgot this was the thread for desktop downloading, so I neglected to mention the following: I notice the same problem when downloading OTA.

This may not even be a problem with PT, as I'm having trouble downloading the Science Times episodes through my browser. I'll fire off an email. Hope it gets fixed

I retried the download a few times, just to see what would happen. I was able to download the episode from 8/11, but 8/4 still won't download. The 8/11 episode is 21mb, the 8/4 episode is 45mb. My guess is that I just got lucky on the smaller file, in that it was done before it had a chance to timeout. I retried the larger file a few times, but it keeps timing out. Hopefully NYT fixes this soon.

Finally broke down and downloaded the desktop app, I didn't think I would like it at first ( I hate dragging the usb cable out), but heh, it works great and I'm not draining my battery all the time.
