Version 1.7.2 Released!

Hi guys, here's version 1.7.2. Mostly a bugfix release, but there are some new features in there.

Here's the complete change list:

* Fixed: Update times not lining up with schedule
* Cancelling the current download doesn't work
* Downloads always show that the log isn't available anymore
* Podcast descriptions show 'null'
* Emailing logs should have a unique subject per device for better threading in gmail
* Keyboard shortcut for viewing downloads (D)
* Moved back to restarting download on size mismatch
* Sorting when adding a folder to a playlist is backwards
* Added backup and restore to storage directory (should no longer be possible to lose settings between versions after upgrading to this version)
* Add used space and volume indication to header (volume is blue, used space is green)
* Another attempt at allowing files to play as they download
* Opml export should use xml extension for importing
* Need to ensure all files have the PT_x prefix
* When adding undownloaded episodes to the playlist, mark them for download
* Instead of ??? for length show file size
* Task switcher icon is wrong
* Fixed google reader opml import?
* Thumbnails show in media player forum post
* Allow pause/play via convenience key forum post
* If I move out of wifi zone and an episode is in the process of dowloading it gets stuck. Remvoing the episode or cancelling the download do not seem to work. Only removing the entire feed seems to revive the d/l process

NOTE: I missed one bug on this related to the playlist crashing thing that I pushed out an hour after the initial release. I didn't change the version number, though, so for the 10 or so of you that got it within an hour of the release, and are seeing the crashing, just reinstall the same version over itself and you should be fine.

I sent you my logs. I can't get the one podcast that updated today to download right at all, & I don't have the previous version 1.7.1 saved anywhere. It might be a good idea to have previous versions available on your download page so that we aren't left out in the cold if the version we just downloaded doesn't work. Then we could at least revert back to the previous version. This is a shortcoming of downloading OTA that I've never been crazy about.

I saw your note about the newer version of 1.7.2 & downloaded again. It seems to be downloading the podcast I wrote of before okay now. It plays fine even though it's still downloading.

Weird, downloading didn't change at all between those versions

Ah well, at least it's working. Shoot me over another copy of your logs if it stops working again (I suspect it will, though I'm narrowing it down I think).

Thumbnails not showing. Artwork embedded in mp3 file. Do I need to change something for it to show up?

Podtrapper can't yet read embedded images for file playback. It's on the todo list, I just haven't gotten there yet, sorry

Sorry I couldn't post this earlier . . .
I'm having some issues with video podcast playback. I listen a lot in the car and when I stop listening and try to go back into the cast to resume, no video (black screen) but audio fine. Also when I receive email or SMS alert won't resume playing without an error message that I can hit OK and then resume but audio onlya. Now if I actually "EXIT" PodTrapper and go back to the videocast will work fine or if I go into a different podcast and play for a second then go back to the videocast and play will work.
Thanks and still my most used app!

FEATURE REQUEST -- be able to maybe press screen during video playback and would pull up the controls to rewind/ffwd if desired during playback, would be nice feature to skip ads etc easily . . ..

Thanks, StormDoc, I'll take a look at the video thing.

The key thing I'll have to think about, it may require a storm specific version, but I'll definitely look into it.

I'll probably be adding a header icon that indicates when downloads are happening or paused or whatnot.
