This one is usually oddities in the OS (actually in the qualcomm chipset firmware, but same difference really). If you go back in and 'Select Output' again does it end up routing properly? If so, PodTrapper has a 'Continously set output method' setting in the playback settings that may help. Start with 'When necessary' and if that doesn't work (since sometimes the os doesn't properly report it) try 'Continously'.
