Unable to control volume for bluetooth headphones

Hi, in recent updates of the software, I've found that I can no longer control the volume (with the BB volume rocker) when listening to podcasts with my Bluetooth headset. I can only adjust the volume using the rocker located on the headset itself.

PT 3.0.0
Blackberry Tour 5.0.0.732
Motorola S305 Bluetooth headset

I checked that if I listen using the Handset or Handsfree option (instead of Bluetooth), then I CAN control the volume using the volume rocker on the side of the phone.

I also checked that if I use the Bluetooth headset with other apps (pandora, BB media player) than I can control the volume using the BB volume rocker.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
Brian

Hi Brian,

Sadly this is an artifact of the latest OS releases (seems to be 5.0.0.500+ or so). Though it's very interesting that you can control it with Pandora (they should be broken as well). Can you confirm that, and if it does work, shoot me a copy of your logs? (Via the 'Help / Support' => Email Developer menu sequence)

Ah, you're correct, it doesn't actually work for Pandora or Slacker either. I thought it was working, because the volume meter still comes up and changes, but the volume itself does not. It does work with the built-in BB media player.

Thanks!

Yeah, they just keep breaking more and more stuff the higher the 5.0 release gets. It's really crazy, actually.
