What the bleep is a "Widget"?

New postby JayAaroBe on Sat Oct 22, 2011 3:25 pm

I've searched the forums and the other support pages and I keep seeing people talking about an Android "Widget", but I cannot find a single place where someone explains what it is and how to get/use it.

I know what the general term "widget" means. But it seems like there's some Podtrapper secret out there that I'm not aware of. Can anyone please enlighten this not-so-versatile monkey? Thanks. :D

Hi Jay,

On android you can add widgets to your home screen. If you press and hold on a blank area of your home screen it'll bring up a menu, with 'Widgets' as one of the options. In there are a bunch of little windows that let you do stuff with apps directly from the home screen. In PodTrapper's case there's a [not so pretty] media controller that you can use to play/pause, etc PodTrapper without leaving the home screen.

That make sense?
